Three Countries Motorcycle Tour

THREE COUNTRIES MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURE 30 May-19 June 2011

Travel from Johannesburg, South Africa to Botswana, visiting Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls. All this riding is done on well maintained rental motorcycles or your own motorcycle.
We then carry on to Namibia for some stunning dirt road biking, travelling through a country with the most unique and intriguing landscape.
The trip ends in South Africa's tourism capital, Cape Town, where we leave our trusty bikes.

Day 1
Arrive in Johannesburg.
Day 2
Take delivery of rental bikes.
Spend the rest of the day taking in a couple of sites in and around Johannesburg or Egoli, City of Gold.
Day 3
Depart for South African - Botswana border. We ride through the warm Bushveld area of South Africa to our camp where we spend the night on the banks of the Limpopo River.
Day 4
Today we travel further north to the Makgadikgadi Salt pans.
After spending some time on these magnificent pans we spend the night at a quaint lodge.
Day 5
Our ride takes us to Kasane.
We will spend the afternoon on the world famous Chobe River boat cruise. This is a magnificent game viewing experience.
Day 6
A transfer to Victoria Falls has been arranged for you.
Go and visit "The Smoke that Thunders" and be amazed at this magnificent sight. You have to spend some time at this spectacular World Heritage Site.
Day 7
Today we depart Botswana and head for Namibia.
Day 8
We spend tonight en route to Etosha, somewhere in the far north of Namibia, after travelling the Caprivi Strip and taking in the sights along the way.
Day 9
Our destination today is the well known Etosha National Park.
Day 10
Day at leisure in Etosha.
A game drive has been arranged for you. Hopefully you will get to see a host of animals.
Day 11
We leave the starkness of Etosha National Park and head for central Namibia en route to Damaraland.
Day 12
Today we spend the day exploring the area's rock paintings, the Petrified Forest and the Organ Pipes.
Day 13
Our ride today is along good gravel roads, through really eerie landscape as we head for the coast of Namibia and our next stop along the way, Swakopmund.
Day 14
Leisure day in Swakopmund.
Take a quad ride on the dunes, do some sandboarding, go on a Living Desert Tour and learn about the very sensitive nature of a desert.
If fishing is your thing then take part in some off-shore fishing.
These are some of the activities you can do while in Swakopmund. This quaint German town has some beautiful buildings and unique shops to also keep you busy.
Day 15
We travel further along good gravel roads to Sossusvlei, the heart of the Namib Desert, situated in the Namib-Naukluft National Park.
Day 16
Leisure day at Sossusvlei.
Visit Dune 45, the most photographed dune ever, as well as Deadvlei and Sossusvlei. A Dune Tour has been arranged for you.
Day 17
We head to the home of famous Namib Desert wild horses and visit the former capital of Namibia, Luderitz.
This quaint town is perched on rock and is the hub of the diamond mining areas in Namibia.
A visit to Kolmanskop. a  ghost town on the outskirts of Luderitz is also available.
Day 18
Today is a short ride to the world's second largest canyon, The Fish River Canyon.
Take in this spectacle at the view sites and marvel at this unique landscape.
Day 19
We leave Namibia and re enter South Africa and tonight will be spent on the West Coast of South Africa in Namaqualand.
This area is well-known for its carpets of wildflowers in the spring.
Day 20
We travel south along the West coast and finally arrive in Cape Town.
We check into our hotel at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront at the base of Table Mountain.
Day 21
Today is spent riding the Cape Peninsula, visiting the Cape of Good Hope and generally getting a feel of Cape Town.
We ride along some truly scenic roads in and around Cape Town.
Day 22
The bikes are returned and your flights depart from Cape Town International Airport.

Camping
Tents are provided and erected for you.
Supply own sleeping bag and mattress.
Breakfast and Dinner supplied.
Camp sites all have ablution facilities.
All luggage carried on support vehicle.

On most nights there is an option to upgrade to lodge accommodation.

Cost: Based on a minimum of 8 people
          R 28 600-00 (ZAR) excluding Bike Rental

Prices available for smaller or larger groups.

Bike Rental: R700- R1200 per day depending on model.
