THE ULTIMATE SOUTHERN AFRICAN MOTORCYCLE TOUR 1 AUGUST - 9 SEPTEMBER 2011

 This tour encompasses the best motorcycle riding as well as unique features in 6 Southern African countries.From the start in Johannesburg, City of Gold you will travel to the desert landscape of Namibia with visits to the Fish River Canyon, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Etosha National Park and the Caprivi Strip.
In Botswana, the abundant wildlife in Chobe National Park is a feast for the eye!
Zambia’s offering is the World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls – a spectacle not to be missed as well as the magnificence of  Lake Kariba.
The most impressive Lake of Stars, Lake Malawi, is breathtaking and well worth the 2 days spent there.
As we head south into Mozambique yet another incredible dam on the mighty Zambesi River awaits us – Cahorra Bassa Dam. This is the home of the feisty Tiger Fish – maybe you’ll catch one! We visit Gorongosa National Park as well as the pristine beaches of Mozambique.
After entering South Africa again we spend some time at the world famous Kruger National Park – hopefully the Big 5 won’t be hiding that day.
We now head through central South Africa, across the Drakensberg Mountains and towards the scenic Garden Route. From here we make our way along Route 62, spend a night at the southernmost tip of South Africa and then head into picturesque Cape Town at the foot of Table Mountain.

This epic motorcycle tour will showcase some of the most awesome sights in Southern Africa.
If you only have one opportunity to visit Africa then this is the tour you should be a part of.

Day 1
Arrival in Johannesburg and book into hotel

Day 2
Day at leisure to explore the Cradle of Humankind, Soweto, the Apartheid Museum and to get a feel for this bustling capital of Gauteng.
Take delivery of rental bikes.
Day 3
Head west and spend our first night in the Kalahari Desert en route to Namibia
 
Day 4
Enter Namibia and ride good gravel roads to our camp site at the world’s 2nd largest canyon.
Day 5
Travel to Aus. Visit Luderitz , Kolmanskop and hopefully get a glimpse of the wild desert horses!
Day 6
Ride to the Namib Nauklaft Park and the world famous dunes of Sossusvlei.
Day 7
Visit Dune 45, the most photographed dune in the world. The climb to the top for the energetic is well worth the view that awaits you.
Day 8
Swakopmund is our destination today. We are based here for 2 days.
Sandboarding , quad rides on the dune, shark fishing and a variety of other activities are available while staying at Swakopmund.
Day 9
Leisure day
Day 10
Ride to Damaraland. The scenery will change as we head North with its majestic flat-topped mountains, granite rock formations, numerous rock paintings and a couple of other attractions.
Day 11
Today we have a short ride through some spectacular scenery.
We visit the Petrified Forest, Twyfelfontein Rock paintings, Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes.
Day 12
Etosha, the Great White Place is our next destination.
Day 13
Leisure day.
A half day game drive into Etosha National Park has been organized for you.
Day14
We leave Etosha and head into the Caprivi Strip.
 
Day 15-Entry/Exit day
We cross into Botswana, enter the Chobe National Park and ride to our camp on the eastern border of the Park. Keep your eyes open for game on this road!
Day 16
Leisure day.
An early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River are your down time activities
Day 17
We cross the mighty Zambezi River by ferry, and after border formalities, we head into Livingstone.
More than enough time today for a visit to the famous Victoria Falls – the Smoke that Thunders – one of the most awesome sights in the world!
Day 18
We need an early start today as we head towards Lake Kariba.
Tonight is spent on the shores of this huge Lake.
Day 19
Leisure day on the banks of Lake Kariba.
Day 20
We leave Kariba and ride further north towards Lusaka, capital city of Zambia and our next remote camp.
Day 21
Tonight is spent near the Malawian border
Day 22
Our third border crossing awaits us. Our destination - Lake Malawi, another wondrous water mass, and one of the most beautifully situated camps you will ever find. 
Day 23
Leisure day.
Visit the village of Hot Sands, the local market or the very important Fishery or just stroll along the lakeshore.
Day 24
We now head due south, enter Mozambique and on to Cahorra Bassa Dam for a bit of Tiger Fishing!
 
Day 25
Leisure day.
A fishing boat has been arranged for those who want to net the
BIG ONE.
Day 26
We continue further south today along some really beautiful roads and enjoy some awesome riding. We are heading for Gorongosa National Park.
Day 27
A rest day with game drives in this beautiful National Park.
Day 28
Today we head to Inhassora and the warm Indian Ocean.
Day 29
We continue to Inhambane Province to our accommodation right on the beach! Paradise!!
Day 30
Leisure day.A snorkelling trip and diving opportunities are available for those who are interested.
Day 31
Today we head further south and onto Maputo.
Day 32
From Maputo we head to the world famous Kruger National Park
Day 33
Leisure day.
A day of rest with a safari into Kruger National Park
Day 34
We leave the Kruger National Park and head through central South Africa to a quaint village in the Free State Province.
Day 35
The ride today takes us through the Eastern Cape Province and onto the scenic start of the Garden Route.
Day 36
From our forest hideout we travel to the Ostrich capital of the world. We are based in Oudtshoorn for 2 days. 
Day 37
Day at Leisure.
Visit the world famous Cango Caves, an Ostrich Show Farm or ride a stunning gravel road pass, steeped in history and a feast for the eye.
Day 38
We head along Route 62 – South Africa’s version of Route 66.
Tonight will be spent at the southernmost point of South Africa and the African continent.
Day39
We ride to Cape Town along roads with stunning scenery at every corner.
Day40
Day in Cape Town.
Visit Table Mountain, Robben Island or ride out to the Wine Farming areas.
Day 41
Fly home.
